Amici di Adamitullo onlus is a project born from the meeting of a friend group and Don Cesare Bullo, salesian father in his mission for more than fifty years. Thanks to the support of the order of Salesian fathers, which has been working for years in Ethiopia to guarantee the education and quality of life of the local communities, it was possible to find together a place where the desire to help the less fortunate could be realized. <\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n Out of the thirteen missions present in the country, the smallest is the village of Adamitullo,\u00a0 founded by the Salesians in 1988 it is located about 170 km from Addis Ababa. The village\u00a0 includes a school center with an elementary school and areas dedicated to recreational activities. Within Adamitullo, us Friends invest our energies, committing ourselves to carry out many projects together through volunteer missions and cultural and entertainment events for raising funds, especially in the city of Padua.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n At least twice a year, a group of members visit in order to experience the reality of Adamitullo firsthand. Anyone who’s willing to participate is welcome. The experience of the volunteers is based on making a contribution, as well as within the school (by helping the children individually and taking an active part in the lessons) especially during the rest of the day: playing with the children and collaborating with the community.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″] IMPORTANT DATES<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div> After meeting Father Cesare Bullo, a Salesian missionary who has been doing his utmost for the needy in the Horn of Africa for over thirty years, a group of friends decide to contribute to the construction of a well of clean and drinkable water in a small Ethiopian village . Thus was born the Amici di Adamitullo association. <\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1606907848182{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]<\/p>\n In 2009, work began for the expansion of the Adamitullo school facility. Six classes are opened, allowing many children between the ages of 5 and 10 to access education. In the following years, the school was further expanded to include 16 classes where children can continue their studies up to the eighth grade (eighth grade).<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1606907910632{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]<\/p>\n In 2014, work began on the new high school, which was inaugurated in 2015: continuing your studies after middle school finally becomes possible. Amici di Adamitullo continues to grow and involves more and more sponsors and institutions with its enthusiasm.
